Olive Oyl
This is a picture about the cartoon figure Olive Oyl in the famous comic strip Popeye. If you were the design, what the shape would be in your mind to design a pair of shoes from the inspiration of the figure? There might be many varieties. But today we will see what Kobi Levi had done. He designed a pair of shoes from Olive’s head to her body. These are the shoes.
Olive Oyl
The shoes are beautifully designed. From the first sight of seeing them, you may be reminded in your mind by the black ponytail and the red leather uppers of Olive Oyl.
The other pair of shoes was called “Blond Ambition”. They were inspired by the Barbie doll Blond Ambition; we can even say they are a commemoration of the big star Marilyn Monroe.
Blond Ambition
The leather uppers were pure golden color and with silver hairs on the back stap. And the most typical one is the laces of the shoes; they are black and designed in a microphone shape. So they are really inspired by the blond star Marilyn Monroe.
These two pairs of shoes were the traditional styles of Kobi Levi’s designs. All his designs were inspired from different things in our common life. Like his Slide, Sling-Shot and Banana Slip-on 2010 shoes in the past year. His designs were very fresh and they are not like the famous brand with fixed patterns. His styles are changing all the time. If you love his shoes, you will get a surprise every time when he has new designs, just like the Olive Oyl and Blond Ambition.
